The Meaning of Courage

The Meaning of Courage

The Founder: In this post, I want to talk about 'Courage.' Courage isn't the absence of fear; it's the decision to act despite it.

I have my own fears. The fear of others' opinions about me. The fear of not being a good speaker in front of the camera. The fear of being perceived as pretentious or vague. And yes, the fear of being too old to start creating anything, an idea or even social media content.

But courage means stepping forward anyway. Courage means facing those fears and saying, 'I see you, but you don't control me.'

Philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, 'Do the thing you fear, and the death of fear is certain.' I remind myself of this often. It's not about erasing fear but shrinking it by taking action.

In Buddhism, there's a beautiful teaching: 'Feel the fear and do it anyway.' It's about embracing our human vulnerability and recognizing that courage is found in every small step we take towards authenticity.

So here I am, embracing the fear, speaking to you, in social media, and sharing my thoughts. I choose courage today, and I invite you to do the same.

Speaking of courage, I'm really excited to share something special with you all. I’ve created a new line of velvet cardigans. They’re called ‘Courage Cardigans,’ inspired by everything we're talking about today. There are 14 different fabrics with unique patterns, all in stretch velvet. This collection is my way of putting these thoughts into action.

This series is about exploring wise and lucid ideas about life, inspired by philosophy, poetry, and Buddhism. Let's journey together, face our fears, and find courage in every moment.

Thank you for being here. Stay tuned for more posts of Wise and Lucid thoughts.
